Festival Overview

What to expect, where and when

We'll be adding much more detail to this page, including exact timings for workshops and fringe events, but in the meantime here is a basic overview of what to expect so you can plan your weekend:

FRIDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON: WORKSHOPS

Cheltenham Town Hall, GL50 1QA and Emmanuel Church, Fairfield Parade, Cheltenham GL53 7PJ. Exciting workshops taught by our wonderful performers and teachers. More details and tickets coming soon!

FRIDAY EVENING: WELCOME FUNDRAISING CONCERT

Emmanuel Church, Fairfield Parade, Cheltenham GL53 7PJ. This year we're doing something a little different for our Friday evening fringe event. We're holding a special fundraising concert in a beautiful space at the local church. We'll have lots of sets from Rising Stars and some of our main performers. The event will be free to attend, with all donations on the door going towards booking new exciting talent and making the festival sustainable. You'll be able to bring your own drinks so much better than the pub in that respect!

SATURDAY MORNING: WORKSHOPS

Cheltenham Town Hall, GL50 1QA and Emmanuel Church, Fairfield Parade, Cheltenham GL53 7PJ. Exciting workshops taught by our wonderful performers and teachers. More details and tickets coming soon!

SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING: THE MAIN EVENT!

Cheltenham Town Hall, GL50 1QA. Doors will open around 11am and you can come and explore and check out the extensive vendors hall where we'll have ukuleles and accessories on sale from a wide range of shops, brands, and luthiers. 

Performances: Midday - Approx 5:30pm Come and enjoy our world class performers and be inspired by incredible players from around the world.

Evening beak

Perfomances: 7pm - approximately 10pm

SUNDAY MORNING: MASS JAM 

Montpellier Gardens Bandstand (behind Cheltenham Town Hall, GL50 1QA). 11am approx. The mass jam is back led by the fabulous Terry Cox of Friends Ukenited. We'll all get together and make loads of noise belting out fun and accessible tunes from across the ages.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING: THE MAIN EVENT (part two!)

Cheltenham Town Hall, GL50 1QA. Doors will open around 11am.

Performances midday - approx 6pm: Again we're doing things differently this year with a whole extra day of incredible performances. We're bursting at the seams this year with amazing talent from around the world so we have a whole extra day of concert for you. We'll have our FESTIVAL RAFFLE DRAW mis-way through and a grand-finale to close the festival.

For those taking part in the Forest Ukulele Retreat we'll relocate to Speech House in the Forest of Dean on Monday with events kicking off there Monday evening. There will be a separate timetable for this part nearer the time.
