CNC Emmanuel Church, GL53 7PJ

In his books, Roland Prakken not only shows himself to be a specialist in the history of the ukulele, but also demonstrates his love of music from the 1920s and 30s. What could be more natural than to combine this knowledge in a special workshop?

Roland takes you on a journey to the first golden age of the ukulele and plays songs from the repertoire of some of the stars of this era such as Wendell Hall, Cliff 'Ukulele Ike' Edwards and George Formby. In addition to their pieces, you will also get to know some of their special playing techniques with a focus on the right hand.

These tips and tricks can not only be used when playing the classics, but can also be transferred to modern material.
